Meet the Fritz’s Team

Our team is a huge part of the reason we’re able to do what we do. Each member contributes in their own, unique way to what we do at Fritz’s, and we’re grateful for each and every one of them! We wanted you to get to know our employees better, so we asked them a few questions about edibles, weed, and working at Fritz’s.

What was the first time you got high?

You only get high for the first time once in your life. I smoked cannabis on the rooftop of my friend’s house back in India in 2014 with a bong made from an old coke bottle. It wasn’t a pleasant experience for my throat. For the first five minutes, I couldn’t move. But after a glass of cool water, my mind thought, “why is everything happening in slow motion?”

Then my friend put on the songs “ Dreamcatcher “ and “Crazy Heart “ by Bahramji and Maneesh de Moor, and I listened to them on repeat for at least two hours. I felt like my mind was catching every tune and beat. So many things happened around me, but I can only recall some of them now. 

It was a late, hot, summer night and I remember I had never eaten so much ice-cream at one time. I don’t remember how I got to bed; I just woke up in the morning with the same songs from the night before humming in my mind. Later one of my friend said, “You didn’t say anything last night except one sentence: ‘I wanna eat something’.” Lol!!

What’s your favourite kind of edibles?

Honestly, my past experiences with edibles weren’t good. But since I started working at Fritz’s, I’ve learned how and when to consume them for a happy high.

What’s your favourite way to consume a gummy?

Edibles are a party product. Give one gummy to everyone at the start of a party and wait for it. I have done it, and I think everyone should try. Also, if someone is taking you to some boring place where you  don’t wanna go, eat an edible and have your own vibe.

What do you like about working at Fritz’s?

First of all working at Fritz’s cannabis never gives me Monday moods!! Making these colourful, gorgeous edibles is fun all the time. The fun adds up more with great music. Yes, we don’t get a vibe without music!!!  Moreover, it’s the crew that makes the work flow very smooth, and I have got cool bosses as well.

What’s one of your favourite memories of being high?

One of my favourite times was when my partner and I smoked a joint, ate a lollipop, then played glow-in-the-dark mini golf!

What’s your favourite way to eat edibles?

I like to smoke a joint, eat a gummy or other edible, then do activities like going for hikes and walks, watching movies, visiting art galleries, and playing video games. When the high from the j starts to wear off, that’s when the edible kicks in!

What’s your favourite part of working at Fritz’s?

The good vibes, awesome people, and the scent of the gummies when you pour them— smells sooo good!

Tell me about the first time you got high

The first few times I smoked I didn’t really get high, but the first time I greened out was probably on 4/20 at the Vancouver Art Gallery when I was like 17 or something.  We ended up going to the beach after and I had no idea how we got there. It felt like we teleported.  And then I realized how powerful cannabis could really be.

Do you like edibles?

Yes, I love edibles!  I like edibles and smoking equally for their different effects. Edibles give a grounding, deep high that I like.  I’ll almost always have a gummy before going to see a movie or going to a live show. I also love them for relaxing mornings on days off at home.

What do you like about working at Fritz’s?

I enjoy working at Fritz’s with such a great crew of people and the music selection we have grooving on the speaker while we work!  The smells are amazing while making a batch, and after all, we make cannabis gummies, so what’s not to love!
